  • Overview

    The Product Coordinator is responsible for product risk/pricing for a specific set of products and life cycle management leading to profitable growth and management of EFG's product portfolio for each line of business. 

    Responsibilities

    • Provide strategic product direction through market analysis and ongoing needs assessment of current and prospective clients in each line of business
    • Assist in the creation, management, and monitoring product rates
    • Build and maintain EFG's product roadmap with input from each line of business and key stakeholders
    • Monitor and report on key industry participants, including product providers, insurers and agents, and business and technology trends in the marketplace
    • Define business requirements for new products and enhancements, partnering with the Product Development project manager and other functional stakeholders to ensure effective and timely delivery to the marketplace
    • Work with management to understand and track performance and profitability across EFG's product line and to develop pricing and risk strategies
    • Partner with sales personnel to identify business process and technology solutions to help achieve sales goals
    • Support each line of business through product rollout, training and development of sales aids
    • Support sales opportunities through presentation and proposal development

    Qualifications

    • 3-5 years of relevant work experience required in insurance, third party product administration or automotive finance; automotive-specific background, a plus
    • Bachelor's degree required; specialization in Business, Finance, Actuarial Science, or Statistics preferred
    • Possess business acumen, including the ability to conduct financial and performance analysis across products and accounts
    • Demonstrated ability to articulate business vision for cross-discipline project teams
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Comfortable with reviewing, manipulating, and analyzing data
    • Self-starter and ability to successfully work in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to multi-task with shifting priorities
    • Understanding of insurance rates and forms is desirable
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and/or Access

     

    Key Performance Indicators

     

    • Risk reporting and management
    • Timely delivery of product-related announcements, field communication, and training materials
    • Regular product performance reporting
    • Feedback from the Business Development team on contribution to their success
    • Successful work with cross functional groups
    • Assist in effective product rollouts and the management/maintenance of a group of products
    • Efficiently and effectively train and communicate the features and benefits of assigned products to both internal and external constituents.
